Questions about removing Google reviews

Can you really remove negative Google reviews?

Only the ones that break Google's rules or UK law: fake reviews, competitors, ex-employees, extortion, hate speech, harassment, personal information, spam, off-topic content and defamation. A genuine customer's honest bad experience cannot be removed by anyone, and the free check will tell you so.

Is it legal to have Google reviews removed?

Yes. Reporting a review that breaks Google's policies is what Google asks owners to do, and we only use Google's own tools. What is illegal in the UK is posting or buying fake reviews, banned by the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 from 6 April 2025. See fake reviews law in the UK.

How much does it cost to remove a Google review?
